　這是瑞典流行搖滾二人團體 Roxette 羅克賽合唱團為愛情喜劇電影《 Pretty Woman 麻雀變鳳凰》所唱的主題曲。

　它其實是一首回收再利用的歌，原名是" It must have been love(Christmas for the broken hearted) 那一定是愛(給傷心人的聖誕節)"，是應 EMI 德國分公司的要求，為即將來臨的聖誕節所製作的一首歌曲，由男團員 Per Gessle 詞曲，長期合作的瑞典製作人 Clarence Öfwerman 操盤，1987 年 12 月 2 日發行。這首單曲並未做全球性的發行，僅在瑞典得到第四名的成績。

　後來 1990 年的電影《麻雀變鳳凰》採用這首歌，重新製作的" It must have been love "刪去了開頭的耶誕樂聲，歌詞裡的" a hard Christmas day "也被改為" a hard winter's day "。

　隨著這部現代都會版的灰姑娘電影大賣，不僅男主角李察吉爾再度翻紅，更一舉捧紅新人茱莉亞蘿勃茲，" It must have been love "也坐了全美百大單曲排行榜二週冠軍寶座，成為羅克賽合唱團的第三首全美冠軍曲。

　那首有聖誕歌曲當作開頭的原版後來並未收錄在該團的任何一張專輯，直到 1997 年，當時 Roxette 已是國際知名的一線團體，唱片公司將羅克賽的所有專輯再版發行。新版的 1986 年首張專輯裡《 Pearls of Passion 》特別收錄" It must have been love(Christmas for the broken hearted) "，以饗死忠樂迷。
